Erin Moriarty and other stars of The Boys found Jensen Ackles annoying

The world of  isn’t just full of superpowered chaos on screen; there’s also a bit of playful banter behind the scenes.

 and her co-stars, including  and , humorously described  as “annoying” due to his overwhelming kindness and charm.

Jensen Ackles, known for his charismatic roles, joined The Boys as Soldier Boy, adding a new dynamic to the show.

However, it seems his real-life personality left some of his co-stars feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Erin Moriarty, who plays Starlight, jokingly mentioned in an interview that Ackles was “underwhelmingly just not a kind person,” a comment that initially surprised fans and co-stars alike.

Oh, Jensen! Jensen was just like, underwhelmingly, just not… a kind person. And it was such a bummer.

However, Moriarty clarified that her comments were purely sarcastic. She, along with Fukuhara and Doumit, actually found Ackles to be “aggressively kind” and charming, qualities that made  almost annoyingly perfect.

He’s so kind. Aggressively kind. And I only said that… Like, what the hell? No one has ever been that nice. And he’s so sweet. So… Honestly, that’s how I feel about Jensen! That’s why when we met… Like, he’s underwhelming.

Karen Fukuhara even suggested gifting him a “God’s favourite” T-shirt, highlighting how Ackles’ niceness was seen as over-the-top yet endearing.

You can say that about someone that is that overwhelmingly, aggressively kind and good-looking, it’s like, annoying. Like, how?!

Despite the show’s dark and gritty themes, the cast clearly enjoys a good-natured camaraderie off-screen, where even the most minor annoyances are just a form of affection.
