When you fold the top sheet over the duvet, comforter, or quilt, it makes perfect senseâdespite the fact that it may seem paradoxical at first. In this manner, the patterned side will show through, giving your bed a lovely accent.

The most effective way? Over the top of your quilt, fold the top sheet down by one or two inches. Your bed will begin to resemble the immaculately made beds you see in hotels if you then fold the top sheet and quilt together once more. Is there anything superior than that?
